Plasma Center Nurse- RN

Job Overview

We are seeking a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) to support Plasma Center operations at Bio Life Plasma Services, a subsidiary of Takeda Pharmaceutical Company Ltd. The role reports to the Plasma Center Manager and works under the guidance of the Center Manager or Assistant Manager, and under the Center Physician for medical issues.

• Determine donor eligibility including informed consent management, AIDS education, self‑exclusion, medical history interview, acceptance requirements, physical examination, blood testing, and reviewing Serological Protein Electrophoresis (SPE).
• Evaluate donor reactions and respond according to SOPs.
• Follow SOPs for medical emergencies, including Center Physician standing orders and donor transport to emergency care facilities.
• Refer to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs for unacceptable findings or guidance concerning medical or technical issues, including donor safety and eligibility.
• Support HepatitisB and seasonal flu vaccination programs for employees as applicable.
• Manage employee incidents, determine whether further evaluation is required by occupational health/ER, and refer to EHS guidance regarding employee incidents.
• Act as a Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS, supporting investigations associated with pandemic threats within the local community as indicated by EHS or Medical Affairs.

• High school diploma or equivalent; or graduate equivalent of a recognized educational nursing program with state requirements.
• Currently licensed or certified in the state where responsibilities will be assigned:
  Registered Nurse (RN), Nurse Practitioner (NP), or Physician Assistant (PA).
• Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and AED certification.
• Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy.
• Completion of FDA approved training requirements for Bio Life Medical Support Specialist.
• Two years in a clinical or hospital setting.

USA – WA – Vancouver. Hourly wage range: $38.72 – $53.24, with potential short‑term incentives and comprehensive benefits including medical/dental, paid time off, retirement, disability coverage, life insurance, tuition reimbursement, volunteer time, company holidays, well‑being benefits, up to 80 hours of sick time, and up to 120 hours of paid vacation for new hires.
