Job Title

Vancouver Clinic is hiring a Medical Assistant for our dynamic Ambulatory Surgery Center at our Salmon Creek 2 location. In this role, you'll support the overall delivery of patient care in the post‑anesthesia care unit by assisting nursing staff with patient monitoring and post‑op care, preparing and maintaining exam rooms and equipment, supporting the discharge process, and helping maintain safety and infection control standards.

Salmon Creek 2 (2529 NE 139th Street, Vancouver, WA 98686)

Schedule

Four, 10‑hour shifts with variable start/end times on rotating weeks (one week: 6:00 a‑4:30 p, one week: 7:00 a‑5:30 p, one week: 8:00 a‑6:30 p)

Pay Range

Generally $20.19–$28.27, with placement in the range depending on evaluation of experience. For candidates with an active Washington State Department of Health Medical Assistant‑Certified credential, pay is $22.25–$27.48.

Responsibilities

• Assist nursing staff with patient monitoring and post‑op care in the post‑anesthesia care unit.

• Prepare and maintain exam rooms and equipment.

• Support the discharge process.

• Help maintain safety and infection control standards.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of one of the following: current Washington State Medical Assistant‑Certified credential; combination of experience and training resulting in a nationally recognized certification; completion of a formal MA program; formal medical services training program of the United States Armed Forces; EMT training and certification; or current Washington State Nursing Assistant‑Certification. Must obtain and maintain a Washington State Medical Assistant credential within the required timeframe.
  • Current health‑care provider BLS required.
  • Experience with an electronic health record, Epic experience strongly preferred.
