The salary range for this job opening at Peace Health is $24.07 – $36.15. The hiring rate is dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to education, training, work experience, terms of any applicable collective bargaining agreement, seniority, etc.

Surgical 7 is a dynamic inpatient unit caring for patients recovering from a variety of surgical procedures. As a CNA, you’ll play an important role in helping patients safely mobilize, manage daily activities, and navigate their recovery while working closely with nurses and the interdisciplinary care team.

• Provide hands‑on care and support to patients under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
• Help patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, eating, and toileting.
• Assist patients with walking, repositioning, transferring, and safely getting in and out of bed.
• Take and document vital signs and other patient observations.
• Monitor changes in patient condition and promptly communicate concerns to the nursing team.
• Record fluid intake, output, and other routine patient care information.
• Support basic treatments and care activities delegated by nursing staff.
• Keep patient rooms stocked, organized, and ready to support quality care.
• Document patient care accurately in the medical record.
• Help support unit operations, including answering phones, processing orders, and other clerical tasks as needed.
• Contribute to a safe, welcoming, and compassionate environment for patients and families.

• Washington State Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification upon hire, obtained through American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• Knowledge of age‑specific patient care needs and the ability to support patients across different stages of life.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to stay organized and adapt in a fast‑paced hospital environment.

• At least one year of experience as a CNA in an acute care or hospital setting.
