A leading national MEP and construction organization is seeking a Quality Assurance / Quality Control Manager to oversee all project‑site QA/QC activities. This individual will ensure that work meets contractual and code requirements, maintain quality standards, and lead field quality efforts throughout major mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) construction projects.
This is a high‑impact role for a strong communicator and problem‑solver who can interpret technical specifications, coordinate field quality processes, and drive continuous improvement across multiple project disciplines.
Key Responsibilities- Develop, maintain, and communicate project‑specific QA/QC standards.
- Review project specifications for industry code compliance and constructability.
- Conduct field inspections of MEP systems to verify alignment with drawings, specifications, and contractual requirements.
- Prepare and deliver periodic QA/QC reporting for project leadership.
- Identify quality deficiencies and lead the corrective‑action process.
- Maintain detailed QA/QC documentation, reports, and project correspondence.
- Organize and lead preparatory, planning, and coordination meetings prior to field work.
- Provide coaching, guidance, and performance feedback to quality team members.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field - or equivalent experience.
- 7+ years of relevant QA/QC or construction quality experience, including at least 3 years in a lead or supervisory role.
- Strong working knowledge of lean construction or lean manufacturing principles.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with project stakeholders.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
- Advanced customer service orientation and strong negotiation/presentation abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and Bluebeam.
