The Compliance Dairy Process Improvement Coordinator leads statewide compliance and enforcement efforts for the Food Safety Program within Washington's Department of Agriculture, ensuring consistent application of food safety laws and regulations. The role serves as a subject matter expert on Grade 'A' Dairy programs, directs process improvements aligned with national standards, and develops training programs for inspection staff. This position reports to the Food Safety Program Manager and requires in-person stakeholder engagement and presentations across the state.
KeyQualifications
- • Bachelor's degree in food science, microbiology, dairy science, environmental health, or related field, or equivalent experience
- • Four years of professional experience in public health regulatory food manufacturing environment
- • Ability to qualify for and obtain FDA Commissioning
- • Valid driver's license prior to employment
- • Two years public health regulatory experience and/or three years quality control experience in food or dairy processing preferred
