Job SummaryGreat Floors is seeking a motivated and results‑oriented Builder Account Representative to support our Vancouver, Washington location. The role focuses on identifying new business opportunities, building client relationships and contributing to revenue growth while upholding our company’s high standards of service and quality.
Compensation and HoursPay Range: $70,000.00 to $+ (depending on experience) plus uncapped commission.
Hours:
Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Longer hours may be needed to meet builder obligations or attend builder/industry events.
- Own builder and contractor relationships.
- Drive revenue growth and manage projects from bid through completion.
- Deliver best‑in‑class customer experience.
- Lead site visits, pre‑construction meetings, and ongoing communication.
- Create proposals and manage project execution.
- Coordinate with estimating, operations, and installation teams.
- Assist in the sales process by identifying leads, preparing presentations, and supporting the sales closing process to meet personal and team sales targets.
- Collaborate with marketing and product development to share market insights and ensure smooth execution.
- Participate in industry events, trade shows and networking opportunities to promote Great Floors’ offerings.
- Provide regular updates to the VP of Builder Sales and Branch Manager on progress with leads and market intelligence.
- Proven sales performer with at least two years in the construction or new homebuilding industry.
- Competitive, self‑motivated and highly accountable.
- Comfortable owning the full cycle: prospect, bid, close, execute, retain.
- Motivated by growth and opportunity, not maintenance.
- Ability to present and articulate points clearly and effectively.
- Highly organized and able to manage multiple projects and priorities.
- Must consistently meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent basic math skills.
- Work well in a team environment.
- Ability to build strong working relationships with builder personnel and field team members.
- Punctual and reliable attendance.
- Computer literate and proficient in MS Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).
- Valid driver’s license with auto insurance.

- Exercise sound judgment and decision‑making.
- Identify and resolve operational challenges proactively.
- Frequent on‑site visits requiring walking, climbing stairs, and navigating uneven surfaces.
- Lift and carry materials, samples and promotional items weighing up to 30 pounds.
- Visual acuity to distinguish colors, patterns, and details in product samples.
- Manual dexterity for using computers, presentation tools, and handling samples.
- Stand and walk for extended periods during client meetings, industry events and trade shows.
- Clear verbal communication skills for discussions and negotiations with clients.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license for local travel.
- Adaptability to various environments, including office spaces, workshops, showrooms and outdoor construction sites.
- Office/Design Center:
Professional, climate‑controlled environment with moderate noise levels. - Warehouse/Facility:
May expose employees to non‑climate‑controlled environments (heat and cold), mechanical parts, vibration, and elevated noise levels. - Job Site/Field:
Exposure to active construction sites, outdoor weather conditions, dust and fumes; requires PPE such as hard hats, safety glasses and steel‑toed boots.
