About the Company
A global industrial technology and engineering organization is seeking a Service Account Manager to support customers within the process manufacturing sector. This role focuses on developing long-term customer relationships, identifying service and maintenance opportunities, and serving as a trusted advisor to manufacturing facilities seeking to improve reliability, efficiency, and operational performance.
The successful candidate will work closely with plant leadership, maintenance teams, operations personnel, and engineering groups to identify challenges and deliver value-added service solutions. This position combines technical understanding with consultative account management and business development responsibilities.

Salary: $115,000 - $130,000 per year
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, or related discipline preferred), or equivalent industry experience.
- Experience in industrial sales, account management, field service, maintenance, operations, reliability, or engineering.
- Prior experience supporting manufacturing, process industries, energy, chemicals, paper, wood products, or other heavy industrial environments is highly preferred.
- Strong customer relationship and communication skills.
- Ability to interact effectively with maintenance, operations, engineering, and executive leadership teams.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Experience utilizing CRM platforms and Microsoft Office applications.
- Account Management & Customer Support:
Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing customers across assigned accounts. - Serve as the primary point of contact for service-related opportunities, customer concerns, and ongoing support needs.
- Conduct regular customer visits to understand operational challenges and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Partner with customers to develop solutions that improve reliability, uptime, safety, and overall plant performance.
- Ensure customer satisfaction through proactive communication and coordination of internal resources.
- Identify opportunities for maintenance services, upgrades, rebuilds, inspections, optimization projects, spare parts, and technical support.
- Generate and manage service opportunities throughout the sales cycle, from initial discovery through proposal development and order execution.
- Collaborate with technical specialists and engineering teams to develop customer-focused solutions.
- Maintain visibility into customer capital projects, maintenance initiatives, outages, and operational priorities.
- Track opportunities, forecasts, and customer interactions within CRM systems.
- Develop account strategies to strengthen customer relationships and increase service revenue within existing accounts.
- Gather market intelligence related to customer priorities, industry trends, and competitive activity.
Support forecasting, budgeting, and territory planning activities. - Represent the company at customer events, technical conferences, and industry meetings.
The ideal candidate is someone who understands industrial manufacturing environments and enjoys building trusted relationships with customers. Whether your background comes from maintenance, operations, engineering, field service, or technical sales, success in this role comes from understanding customer challenges and helping them improve plant performance through service-based solutions.
Experience supporting process manufacturing facilities, maintenance organizations, reliability programs, shutdowns/outages, or aftermarket service initiatives is highly desirable.
