Job Overview
PEC is recruiting a Sales Engineer to join our Vancouver, WA office. The role focuses on developing new business opportunities and achieving individual sales objectives by building a strong customer network, owning the sales process from start to finish, and utilizing Hub Spot CRM for tracking and forecasting.
Compensation includes a first‑year base salary of $100,000 with an expected OTE of $120,000‑$180,000; second‑year OTE exceeds $200,000 with continued growth opportunities. The position requires regular nationwide travel and is an in‑person role located in downtown Vancouver.
Responsibilities- Generate new business and leads on an ongoing basis.
- Quote prices, credit terms, and prepare sales contracts for orders obtained.
- Work with customers to create solutions and ensure a smooth sales process.
- Identify new sales leads through business directories, client referrals, and other channels.
- Collect sales data to track outreach effectiveness and adjust approaches to improve results.
- Respond to current and prospective clients about products, installation, pricing, and lead times in a professional manner.
- Understand and communicate incentive programs/offerings to customers when appropriate.
- Prepare reports of business transactions and manage accounts.
- Enter new customer data and other sales data for current customers into the CRM database.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proactive and independent with a strong initiative.
- Excellent time‑management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two‑year college or technical school; or two or more years of related experience and/or training; or a comparable combination of education and experience. A proven track record of strong B2B sales experience is required.
Certificates, Licenses & RegistrationsA valid, insurable driver’s license is required. PEC does not offer visa sponsorship; applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis.
