The Account Executiveisthefaceofthecompanytoabroadsectionofthetargetmarketandresponsiblefordrivingbusinessgrowthviatheidentificationofnewleads ,fostering relationships,developingqualifiedopportunities,nurturingopportunitiestosaleswins,andanarrayofaccountmanagementactivitiesatexistingcustomers.
Thispositionispartofahighlymotivated,self-supportingsalesteamthatdrivesSSP’sgrowthandarekeyenablersofthecompany’sstrategicgoals.
- Achieveannualsalesequaltoorgreaterthanpersonalgoalsprovidedbymanagement
- Retainandgrowexistingaccountbusinessandengagement
- Becomewellversedintheproducts&servicesofferedbySSPInnovations:
- ProactivelylearnthesubjectmatteroftheclientsthatSSPserves;thisdomainisprimarilyfocusedonlargeelectric,gas,waterandtelecomutilities
- ParticipateinregularmeetingswithVPSMtoreviewinitiatives,discussopportunitypipeline,andrequestsforsupport
- Participateinweekly“Sales&Staffing Sync”meetingstoreviewhigh-probabilityandnear-termopportunitieswithoperationsandstaffingpersonnel,inordertoensurefutureprojectsarestaffedproperly
- Participateinmonthlysalesteammeetingsandbi-annualsalessummitstoidentifygrowthgoalsandgaps,developcultureconnectedness,andothercontinuousimprovementinitiatives
- DevelopandexecuteastrategyforleadgenerationforSSPproductsandserviceswithinassignedterritory:
- Executetheplanviacontactingpersonalbusinessnetwork,cold/warmcalls,partner shipbuilding,marketingexecutionintandemwith
Marketing department,andothertacticsasneeded. - AttendtargetedindustryconferencestorepresentSSPInnovationsinasalescapacity:
- WorkcloselywithSSP’spartnerstoidentifytargetedpartnershipopportunities.
- Createandmaintainalistofprospectivenewcustomers.
- Proactivelymanagelistofopenopportunitieswithcaretopusheachforwardtowardsalewhen/how appropriate.
- Beattentivetoassignedportfolioandabletoanswerimpromptubasicquestionsaboutlaststep,nextstep,opportunity timing,amount,risks,etc.
- FollowtheprocessesthatSSPalreadyhasinplaceandbeenthusiasticaboutcontributingnewideasonhowthoseprocessescanbeimproved
- Enterandmanagelistofmyopensalesopportunitieswithin Salesforce.
Mustbekeptuptodatewithweeklyupdatestosupportstaffingandrevenueprojection.
Opportunitymanagementincludessignificantrevenue-relatedreportingonunsignedopportunitieswhichismyresponsibilitytoenterandkeepuptodate - Maintainandenhancerelationshipswithkeystakeholdersoftargetedlargeaccounts–bothpastcustomersandnewprospects.
- ProvideregularfeedbacktotheVP-SM,VP-Product,andDirectorof
Marketingonrequirementsforgo-to-marketmaterialsincludingcontent,target audience,andmediatype. - Mayperformotherdutiesasassignedinsupportoftheoverallsuccessofthecompany.
