Description

The Account Executiveisthefaceofthecompanytoabroadsectionofthetargetmarketandresponsiblefordrivingbusinessgrowthviatheidentificationofnewleads ,fostering relationships,developingqualifiedopportunities,nurturingopportunitiestosaleswins,andanarrayofaccountmanagementactivitiesatexistingcustomers.

Thispositionispartofahighlymotivated,self-supportingsalesteamthatdrivesSSP’sgrowthandarekeyenablersofthecompany’sstrategicgoals.

Essential Functions
  • Achieveannualsalesequaltoorgreaterthanpersonalgoalsprovidedbymanagement
  • Retainandgrowexistingaccountbusinessandengagement
  • Becomewellversedintheproducts&servicesofferedbySSPInnovations:
  • ProactivelylearnthesubjectmatteroftheclientsthatSSPserves;thisdomainisprimarilyfocusedonlargeelectric,gas,waterandtelecomutilities
  • ParticipateinregularmeetingswithVPSMtoreviewinitiatives,discussopportunitypipeline,andrequestsforsupport
  • Participateinweekly“Sales&Staffing Sync”meetingstoreviewhigh-probabilityandnear-termopportunitieswithoperationsandstaffingpersonnel,inordertoensurefutureprojectsarestaffedproperly
  • Participateinmonthlysalesteammeetingsandbi-annualsalessummitstoidentifygrowthgoalsandgaps,developcultureconnectedness,andothercontinuousimprovementinitiatives
  • DevelopandexecuteastrategyforleadgenerationforSSPproductsandserviceswithinassignedterritory:
  • Executetheplanviacontactingpersonalbusinessnetwork,cold/warmcalls,partner shipbuilding,marketingexecutionintandemwith

    Marketing department,andothertacticsasneeded.
  • AttendtargetedindustryconferencestorepresentSSPInnovationsinasalescapacity:
  • WorkcloselywithSSP’spartnerstoidentifytargetedpartnershipopportunities.
  • Createandmaintainalistofprospectivenewcustomers.
  • Proactivelymanagelistofopenopportunitieswithcaretopusheachforwardtowardsalewhen/how appropriate.
  • Beattentivetoassignedportfolioandabletoanswerimpromptubasicquestionsaboutlaststep,nextstep,opportunity timing,amount,risks,etc.
  • FollowtheprocessesthatSSPalreadyhasinplaceandbeenthusiasticaboutcontributingnewideasonhowthoseprocessescanbeimproved
  • Enterandmanagelistofmyopensalesopportunitieswithin Salesforce.

    Mustbekeptuptodatewithweeklyupdatestosupportstaffingandrevenueprojection.

    Opportunitymanagementincludessignificantrevenue-relatedreportingonunsignedopportunitieswhichismyresponsibilitytoenterandkeepuptodate
  • Maintainandenhancerelationshipswithkeystakeholdersoftargetedlargeaccounts–bothpastcustomersandnewprospects.
  • ProvideregularfeedbacktotheVP-SM,VP-Product,andDirectorof

    Marketingonrequirementsforgo-to-marketmaterialsincludingcontent,target audience,andmediatype.
  • Mayperformotherdutiesasassignedinsupportoftheoverallsuccessofthecompany.
