Overview
Our Automotive Sales Managers are responsible for optimizing customer retention and profitability in the sales domain. This position includes crucial finance functions in car deals, such as deal closures, funding agreements, and recruitment, training, and performance management of sales personnel. The role enhances market competitiveness and supports a customer‑centric sales culture.
Compensation & Benefits- Competitive Salary: $1,750 base salary plus 3.25 % of gross new and used commissions, with expected monthly earnings ranging from $15,000 to $24,000, plus additional income based on department profitability.
- Paid Time Off (PTO): New full‑time employees accrue 4 hours per pay period, totaling about 96 hours in the first year, with increases over time.
- Comprehensive Benefits Package: Health benefits starting the first month after 60 days of employment, including medical, dental, vision, HSAs, FSAs, life insurance, short‑ and long‑term disability, and a 401(k) plan.
- Paid Holidays: At least two paid holidays per year, subject to completion of the introductory period and other eligibility requirements.
- Structure vehicle deals, including contracting customers, ensuring accurate paperwork, and securing financing.
- Hire, train, motivate, counsel, and monitor the performance of the sales team.
- Stay current with federal, state, and local regulations affecting sales.
- Assist salespeople in setting realistic monthly goals and provide support to achieve them.
- Ensure proper follow‑up of all potential buyers by developing, implementing, and monitoring a prospecting system.
- Conduct daily and/or weekly sales meetings.
- Communicate effectively within the department and across departments.
- Ensure salespeople understand and follow dealership policies and procedures.
- Maintain high ratings in customer reviews.
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.
- Excellent communication and time‑management skills.
- Ability to multi‑task.
- Physical ability to use computer hardware/software.
- Excellent supervisory/managerial skills.
- Team‑building and training/development skills.
- Ability to participate actively in team development and motivate others.
- Basic knowledge of dealership operations.
- Must maintain a clean driving record and be insurable with company insurance.
