Long before renewable natural gas is produced, someone has to bring the right people together:
A developer with a vision.
An engineer trying to solve an incredibly complex technical challenge.
A financial partner looking for confidence before committing capital.
A farmer determined to create more value from existing resources.
Each one has different priorities, and each one can move a project forward or stop it completely. The person who brings them into alignment is the one who wins the project.
That's where HoSt comes in.
We don't just engineer equipment; we help customers bring to life projects that wouldn’t otherwise exist, transforming organic waste into renewable natural gas, renewable electricity, heat, fertilizer, and food-grade CO₂ through systems designed, manufactured, and supported by one integrated partner.
Technology alone doesn't win these projects. Trust does, and the salespeople who earn it put their names on projects most of the industry only reads about.
If that sounds like the kind of selling you've been looking for, keep reading.
WHAT YOUR DAYS WILL LOOK LIKEQualified opportunities won't simply appear in your inbox; you'll create them. Some projects will come through HoSt's existing network and reputation, but the wins you'll be proud of are the ones you'll build from a first conversation.
Your job is to identify opportunities before they become formal RFQs, build credibility with the people shaping those projects, and position HoSt long before a purchasing decision is made.
That means spending your time with developers, engineering firms, financial partners, agricultural operators, industrial companies, consultants, and project owners across North America.
One day you're explaining technical capabilities or helping an engineering firm understand how HoSt's technology integrates into the overall design. The next you're discussing project economics, financing strategy, or project risk with a developer, often on questions that extend well beyond your own scope of work.
This is not a transactional sale; it's a consultative, multi-year commercial partnership. Projects often range from $5M to $20M, and sales cycles typically last 12 to 24 months. When you win one, you've earned it.
You'll collaborate closely with Sales Engineers, technical experts, leadership in both North America and the Netherlands, and the Chief Sales Officer as we continue building the commercial engine for North America.
No two days look exactly alike, and if you're wired the way we think you are, that's exactly the appeal.
WHAT YOU BRINGYou've built your reputation selling complex engineered solutions, not products that can be explained in a short demo. You're comfortable across the table from engineers, executives, financial stakeholders, and project teams, asking sharp questions, uncovering the business case, and helping multiple parties move toward the same decision.
You know projects of this size aren't won in a single meeting. They take patience, persistence, and trust built over months, sometimes years. You play the long game because you know that's where the biggest wins live.
You're a hunter at your core. You don't wait for perfectly qualified leads; you open new doors, develop relationships early, and position yourself to win long before a project becomes a formal opportunity.
You're equally comfortable discussing technical solutions and commercial outcomes. Whether you're helping a customer understand an engineered system, building an ROI case for a financial partner, or presenting to executive leadership, you adapt your message without losing credibility.
You're entrepreneurial enough to work independently, and collaborative enough to know you won't win these projects alone. You influence without bulldozing, build consensus across multiple stakeholders, and navigate different personalities, cultures, and perspectives.
You're comfortable hearing "no." Many of the opportunities you'll pursue are already working with incumbent competitors, and you've learned that the wins worth talking about come from showing up consistently, asking better questions, and earning trust, not from having the lowest price.
You'll likely come from industrial process equipment, wastewater treatment, EPC, environmental technologies, renewable energy, industrial gas, process engineering, or another field where technical expertise, consultative selling, and long sales cycles go hand in hand.
