Tasting Room Sales Associate, Part Time - Vancouver WA

Position Available: TASTING ROOM SALES ASSOCIATE

Evoke Winery is currently hiring for the position of Tasting Room Sales Associate at our Vancouver Waterfront Tasting Room.

We're fun wine people who believe that wine, especially really good - "best in class" award winning wine, can also be fun! Our sex positive labels shine a light on what we like to call evocativity- that positive energy that just lights up the room and evokes conversation. Based in Hood River, Oregon, we have tasting room located in Hood River, the Vancouver Waterfront and Bend.

Our award winning wines have been evoking fun and great conversation since 2005.

• Work as part of the tasting room team on goals including sales, new club member sign-ups, and taster traffic.
• Multitask while handling tasting room needs and guest needs.
• Utilize POS systems for processing sales.
• Adhere to WA MAST laws and guidelines for serving and selling alcohol.
• Be available for training outside of scheduled hours.
• Step in to help with outside winery operations when needed such as bottling, shipping, training, and events.

• Must be 21+ years of age.
• Able to obtain a valid WA MAST server permit upon hire.
• Able to obtain a valid Food Worker Card upon hire.
• Outgoing and engaging with strong communication and customer service skills.
• Flexible with scheduling, available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Food service background.

• Demonstrate ability to be proactive and take initiative.
• Self-motivated and able to act independently to solve problems as they occur.
• Ability to work effectively and creatively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

• Lift 40-50 lbs frequently and stand for long periods of time.
• Perform tasks requiring bending, standing, walking, twisting, and carrying.
• Work in a loud, busy environment with elevated music and crowded spaces.

This is an hourly position with a competitive compensation structure. We offer a generous wine discount, commissions on sales, complimentary quarterly wine club benefit and company 401k.
