CAP Concrete Coatings is an authorized Penntek dealer specializing in the installation of high‑performance resinous floor coating systems for residential and commercial clients throughout the greater Vancouver, WA and Portland metro area. Our work includes garage floors, patios, basements, warehouses, showrooms, and commercial facilities. We take pride in delivering flawless, long‑lasting floors using the Penntek Evolution Floor System — a premium polyurea, acrylic flake, and polyaspartic topcoat system.

Your day as a Lead Resinous Flooring Installer

CAP Concrete Coatings is seeking an experienced Lead Resinous Flooring Installer to oversee daily crew operations and uphold our high‑quality standards. As the on‑site authority, you will be responsible for all aspects of the project, including surface preparation, coating application, and crew direction. You will manage a team of 1–2 installers on both residential and commercial projects, ensuring maximum efficiency through careful planning and execution of the job site workflow.

Your role includes conducting pre‑job site assessments, staging materials and equipment, and communicating project updates to management.

As the primary point of contact for clients, you'll ensure satisfaction and quality at every turn. Additionally, you'll train and mentor junior installers on Penntek application techniques while enforcing safety protocols and maintaining job site cleanliness. Are you the Lead Resinous Flooring Installer we're looking for?

To excel as a Lead Resinous Flooring Installer at CAP Concrete Coatings, candidates must possess a minimum of 3 years of experience in resinous concrete coating installation, specifically with polyurea, epoxy, and polyaspartic systems. A year in a supervisory role is essential, alongside expert‑level proficiency in operating Lavina grinders, shot blasting equipment, and Metabo hand grinders. Extensive experience with trowel‑applied coatings and a thorough understanding of concrete surface preparation standards are critical.

Success in this position also requires the ability to read and interpret technical data sheets and safety data sheets, as well as physical stamina for lifting up to 75 lbs regularly and working on hands and knees. Strong communication skills are necessary for effectively directing a crew and engaging with clients.

Candidates should be prepared for physically demanding work environments while adhering to safety protocols. A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are also required.

Knowledge and skills required for the position are:

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in resinous concrete coating installation (polyurea epoxy polyaspartic or similar systems)
  • Minimum 1 year in a lead foreman or supervisory role on coating crews
  • Expert‑level proficiency operating Lavina grinders or equivalent planetary concrete grinders
  • Extensive experience with trowel‑applied polyurea and polyaspartic coatings
  • Ability to read and interpret technical data sheets and safety data sheets
  • Ability to lift and carry 75 lbs. regularly; 100 lbs. occasionally. Ability to work on hands and knees for extended periods
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Willingness to work occasional weekends and evenings
  • Willingness to travel to job sites up to 2 hours from Vancouver WA
  • Strong communication skills — ability to direct a crew and interact professionally with clients
  • Work performed on concrete surfaces — kneeling bending lifting required
