General Facilities Maintenance Technician

Job Description

Walmart is expanding its workforce and is seeking a General Facilities Maintenance Technician for its local and regional team. The role involves executing routine maintenance tasks to uphold the safety, functionality, and aesthetics of Walmart Stores, equipment, and fixtures under the supervision of the General Maintenance Manager.

• Salary range: $45,760 - $83,200
• Sign‑on bonus: $2,000 (select locations)
• Additional bonus available (disclosed during interview)

• Maintain and repair facilities, equipment, and assets using plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and other craft skills.
• Use hand and power tools to complete jobs.
• Utilize the work order management system to receive reactive repair work orders and document repair activities.
• Respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls.
• Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues.
• Complete all required safety and equipment training.

• 18 years or older.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work on ladders.
• Comfortable working at heights and in various temperatures.
• Ability to sit or stand for long periods.
• Excellent driving record.
• Vocational or technical certification with 1 year experience, or 2 years total experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related trade.
