Position Overview
URM Stores, Inc. is looking for an experienced Facilities Maintenance Mechanic to join our facilities team based in Spokane, WA. The ideal candidate must have extensive mechanical skills to perform a variety of tasks related to commercial and industrial building maintenance, repair and upkeep.
Shift ScheduleSchedule:
Sunday - Thursday, 11:00 pm to 7:30 am.
- Maintaining and repairing electrical equipment.
- Maintaining and repairing building assets including dock plates, doors, wrappers, and racking.
- Maintaining and repairing commercial and domestic refrigerators, freezers, and air conditioners.
- Locating and repairing defects in electrical control systems and equipment.
- Reading schematic control diagrams, blueprints and working from sketches.
- Operate, maintain, and repair gas & electric heating and cooling systems.
- Perform overall maintenance and repair of buildings, grounds and equipment.
- Maintain refrigeration, HVAC and boilers.
- Perform scheduled and timely preventive maintenance.
- Maintain a clean safe work environment.
- Perform timely and accurate troubleshooting.
- Experience with computer-related maintenance programs.
- 4+ years of commercial and industrial maintenance experience preferred.
- Proven experience/knowledge of carpentry, welding, minor electrical, plumbing and HVAC.
- Knowledge in warehouse maintenance including dock plate systems, doors and racking.
- Computer use with and maintenance software and systems controls.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Our full‑scale wage is $37.46 per hour, starting wage determined by verifiable experience and certifications:
- 0–5 months experience – $30.72 per hour
- 6 months experience – $31.84 per hour
- 12 months experience – $33.34 per hour
- 18 months experience – $35.96 per hour
- 24 months or more experience – $37.46 per hour (full scale)
- Annual contractual wage increases each June!
