JRT does perform a significant amount prevailing wage work and wages on those projects vary and are published by the State or Federal Agency.
Range: $35.00 - $52.00 per hour DOE for Private Work
Job DescriptionWe are looking for a commercial HVAC/Sheet Metal foreman or installers with at least 2 years HVAC/Sheet Metal experience.
The duties for the journeyman position include:
- Layout, measure, and mark out dimensions
- Assemble and Install heating, ventilating, and air conditioning duct work
- Install copper refrigerant lines, including brazing and soldering
- Assemble and install HVAC equipment
- Work off of sheet metal shop drawings and plans to install duct work and equipment
- Take field measurements, calculate offsets, and perform layouts
Follow all established safety rules and regulations - Maintain a clean and safe working environment
- Collaborate with the Project Manager to insure appropriate manpower and material
- Manage and direct HVAC/Sheet Metal Crews
- Conduct safety inspections and pre-task plans
- Attend weekly meetings with General Contractor/Owner
- Daily task assignment for all crew members
