Overview
Field Service Technician responsible for delivering high‑quality customer service, performing preventative maintenance, routine repair, and calibration/verification of Hach devices at client sites in municipal and industrial settings.
Responsibilities- Perform preventative maintenance, routine repair, and calibration/verification of instrumentation using established company standard work.
- Promote a positive customer experience and serve as an on‑site customer contact for technical and service‑related problems.
- Work in a variety of municipal and industrial settings, including drinking water & wastewater treatment facilities, refineries, chemical manufacturing plants, and food & beverage processing facilities.
- Submit prompt, accurate service reports that affect billing, inventory, instrument history, and instrument failure.
- Follow safe work practices according to company policy.
- Execute administrative activities in support of service visits.
- In some applications, service instruments in hazardous locations (Class I Division
2).
- Previous experience in a travel‑based field service and/or customer‑facing roles strongly preferred.
- High School Diploma required;
Associate’s degree or technical degree preferred, or a combination of education and experience. - Basic mechanical aptitude is a must; experience with preventative maintenance and technical diagnostics/repair is helpful but not required.
- A valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and ability to rent a vehicle and book hotel rooms in accordance with state law.
- Comprehensive 10‑week training: 8 weeks in the field with a dedicated trainer and 2 weeks of classroom training.
- Company car (maintenance and fuel covered).

CompensationHourly rate of $29.00 to $31.00 USD. Eligible for incentive pay and possible annual bonus.
