Field Service Technician - Seattle, WA; Company Vehicle Workweeks

Overview

Field Service Technician responsible for delivering high‑quality customer service, performing preventative maintenance, routine repair, and calibration/verification of Hach devices at client sites in municipal and industrial settings.

• Perform preventative maintenance, routine repair, and calibration/verification of instrumentation using established company standard work.
• Promote a positive customer experience and serve as an on‑site customer contact for technical and service‑related problems.
• Work in a variety of municipal and industrial settings, including drinking water & wastewater treatment facilities, refineries, chemical manufacturing plants, and food & beverage processing facilities.
• Submit prompt, accurate service reports that affect billing, inventory, instrument history, and instrument failure.
• Follow safe work practices according to company policy.
• Execute administrative activities in support of service visits.
• In some applications, service instruments in hazardous locations (Class I Division
  2).

• Previous experience in a travel‑based field service and/or customer‑facing roles strongly preferred.
• High School Diploma required;
  Associate’s degree or technical degree preferred, or a combination of education and experience.
• Basic mechanical aptitude is a must; experience with preventative maintenance and technical diagnostics/repair is helpful but not required.
• A valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and ability to rent a vehicle and book hotel rooms in accordance with state law.

• Comprehensive 10‑week training: 8 weeks in the field with a dedicated trainer and 2 weeks of classroom training.

Hourly rate of $29.00 to $31.00 USD. Eligible for incentive pay and possible annual bonus.
