Cool Sys is seeking a Commercial Refrigeration Service Technician to join our Technical & Maintenance team in the HVAC Wholesale industry. In this hands on field role, you will diagnose, repair, and maintain commercial refrigeration systems, racks, walk ins, ice machines, and HVAC-R equipment for retail, commercial, and industrial customers. You'll perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues, start up and commission new systems, and ensure EPA compliance.

Work collaboratively with customers and teammates, follow safety-first procedures, document service activities, and support energy-efficient, reliable refrigeration solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair commercial refrigeration and HVAC-R systems, including racks, walk-ins, and ice machines
  • Perform preventive maintenance and system tune-ups to ensure efficiency and reliability
  • Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and control issues using meters and schematics
  • Start up, commission, and optimize new or retrofit refrigeration systems
  • Handle refrigerants in compliance with EPA and company standards
  • Document work performed, parts used, and recommendations in service software
  • Communicate effectively with customers and internal teams regarding findings and solutions
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies while working on customer sites
  • Support energy-efficient, sustainable refrigeration solutions for diverse facilities
