Compensation – 25.00 - 29.00 DOE
Schedule
- Mon-Fri 8:30 to 5:00PM. Rotational on-call with additional compensation.
The Mobile Maintenance Technician is a field-based role responsible for completing maintenance, repairs, and general property upkeep across a portfolio of residential properties located throughout the Vancouver and Portland metro areas. This position requires strong technical ability, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work independently while representing YQC Properties with professionalism.
Key Responsibilities- Perform general and skilled maintenance across multiple residential properties, including:
- o Plumbing repairs
- o Electrical troubleshooting (minor)
- o Appliance installation and repair
- o Drywall patching and texture
- o Painting
- o Carpentry and door hardware repairs
- o Flooring repairs
- o HVAC filter changes and basic diagnostics
- Complete work orders efficiently using maintenance software applications.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve complex maintenance issues independently.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in the company vehicle and on all job sites.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with residents, property managers, and office staff.
- Provide exceptional customer service while entering occupied homes; always maintain a resident-friendly demeanor.
- Accurately document work completed, parts used, and follow-up needs within the maintenance software.
- Participate in an on-call rotation as needed.
- Perform turnover work, safety checks, and preventative maintenance.
- Follow all company safety protocols, local regulations, and professional standards.
- Minimum of 3 years of verifiable property maintenance experience in residential or multifamily housing.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and repair a wide variety of issues independently.
- Proficiency with maintenance software or mobile work-order applications.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills when working with residents.
- Must supply own standard tool set required to perform daily maintenance tasks.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Pass a standard criminal background check
- Experience with App Folio or similar property management software.
- Knowledge of Washington and Oregon housing/building maintenance standards.
- Certifications (EPA, electrical trainee card, plumbing card, etc.) are a plus but not required.
- Company vehicles are provided for daily job use.
- This is a mobile field role requiring travel between properties throughout the Vancouver and Portland metro areas.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks such as bending, climbing ladders, and extended standing.
