Why You'll Love This RoleIdentifying, documenting, and correcting deficiencies in fire sprinkler systems saves lives. This role offers an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about fire safety and hands‑on technical work to go beyond inspection alone: diagnosing issues, performing minor repairs and component replacement, and providing recommendations for continuous improvement. This role focuses on inspection, testing, maintenance, and minor repair of existing water-based fire sprinkler systems.
New system installation and larger-scope fabrication or pipe fitting work is performed by our union Sprinkler Fitters.
- Inspection, Testing, Maintenance :
Work in accordance with NFPA 25 and local standards to ensure systems are working correctly and address any issues - Repair & Service :
Diagnose deficiencies identified during inspections and perform minor repairs, including replacement of sprinkler heads, valves, gauges, and other system components - Reporting :
Use Google Suite to communicate findings, recommendations and summaries to relevant parties in a consistent and timely manner - Collaboration :
Work alongside coordinators, sprinkler fitters and alarm teams to manage daily operations, including responding to incoming service calls and escalating larger-scope repair or installation needs to the appropriate team - Professional Growth :

- High School Diploma or GED
- WA State ITT Certificate of Competency
- Backflow Certification
- 2+ years in fire sprinkler inspections, maintenance, and/or repairs
- Working knowledge of sprinkler system components with the ability to perform minor repairs and replacements
- Understanding of NFPA 25
- Familiarity with water-based fire sprinkler systems
- Experience with Microsoft Office and Google Suite
- Ability to work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions such as climbing ladders, scaffolding and high lift equipment, utility vaults (confined spaces), above ceilings, etc.
- Able to work a full-time yet flexible schedule
- Valid driver's license with excellent driving record
- Ability to adhere to, implement, and follow safety guidelines and procedures at all times
- Drug screening and background checks will only be conducted after a conditional job offer is made. We evaluate criminal history based on its relevance to the job duties.
Note: this is a safety sensitive role requiring a zero-substance including marijuana/THC drug screen result.
