Thorben Consulting seeks talented multi-stack Application Developers to join our innovative team. As a key player, you will contribute to technical development, provide expert guidance, and deliver reliable support for cutting-edge web applications. This role offers the opportunity to leverage your full-stack development skills, expertise in Application integration and knowledge of modern software engineering practices while ensuring timely and cost-effective solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Experience with database design, SQL coding, and SQL database operations
  • Develop low-code/no-code solutions using MS Power Platform and/or Appian/Pega-type development platforms.
  • Experience with leveraging Development tools and CICD Pipeline and DevSevOPS processes
  • Experience with database design and stored SQL procedures
  • Perform data quality, data integration, and performance testing
  • Work in a Scrum/Agile environment – working as a part of teams to develop and deliver data products iteratively
  • Provide significant improvements to the product(s) being supported.
  • Support release planning with conceptual design and development/refinement of software engineering guidelines.
  • Analyzing complex project-related problems and creating innovative solutions involving scheduling, technology, methodology, tools and solution components
  • Ensure product quality and timeliness of work, provide advice and guidance, resolve problems to meet objectives, and provide periodic performance reports.
  • Debug applications and propose feasible solutions promptly.
  • Provides technical solutions that are compliant with software and compliance standards and requirements.
  • Collaborate with designers, architects, developers, project managers, and analysts in human-centered design sprints, meetings, and joint application design sessions.
  • Provide input on best practices and procedures.
  • Developing new and refining existing processes to enhance quality and productivity
  • Have experience in data migration from on prem to cloud, preferably in azure environment.
Qualifications Required
  • Candidate must be a US Citizen
  • Secret security clearance or ability to obtain one
  • College degree (B.S.) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Management Systems or a related discipline. Equivalent professional experience will be considered instead of a degree.
  • Experience using SQL or PL/SQL to access SQL compliant RDBMS systems
  • Experience with database design and stored SQL procedures
  • Experience with continuous integration tools and environments.
  • Experience with data migration.
  • Understanding of all elements of the software development life cycle, including planning, development, requirements management, CM, quality assurance, and release management
  • Self-starter with the ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong collaboration skills and desire to work within a team
  • Highly responsible, detail-oriented, team-oriented individual with very strong work ethic
Preferred
  • Knowledge of SQL scripting and usage Oracle SQL Developer or equivalent tools
  • Knowledge of application accessibility and 508 standards.
  • Ability to apply advanced principles, theories, and concepts, and contribute to the development of innovative principles and ideas
  • Experience providing production support for SQL Server databases
  • Knowledge of Federal Security and WEB application STIG standards
