The Frontend Web Developer Co-op is a member of a focused team, responsible for building modern, sophisticated applications using leading-edge technologies. This is an opportunity to learn front-end development, from writing pixel-perfect CSS to using React and JavaScript to implement features. We provide mentoring, code reviews, and access to senior developers to help you learn.

• Using React.js, Type Script, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS to implement web UIs for Global Relay's core service offering
• Collaborate with UX and application teams to create usable, beautiful, and powerful user interfaces
• Implement features through our development process, including design reviews, code reviews, CI, extensive unit testing, automated testing, and deployment to production
• Work with QA to ensure a quality product

• Strong computer science fundamentals
• Knowledge of object-oriented application design
• Experience creating web apps using HTML/CSS and Java Script
• Exposure to JavaScript libraries and frameworks such as React.js, Redux, Node.js, jQuery, AngularJS, etc.

• Links to a Git Hub profile or running projects you have worked on are desired

Global Relay advertises the pay range for this role in compliance with British Columbia’s pay transparency laws. Individual pay rates are determined by factors such as expertise, skills, education, and professional background. The range below reflects the expected annual base salary and is one element of our total rewards package designed to reflect our company pay philosophy, culture, and values. We provide a comprehensive benefits program, including extended health benefits, virtual healthcare, a wellness allowance, vacation days that increase with tenure, paid sick days, parental leave enhancements, a bonus program, and RRSP contribution matching.

For Vancouver-based employees, we offer a subsidized meal program.

Base salary range: $42,000 — $66,000 CAD
