The Senior Program Manager – Aerospace Aftermarket Support/Repairs will have responsibility of the Repairs & Services groups at the Vandalia, OH site. This role will have oversight of both Commercial and Government programs. This role entails complex aerospace programs, ensuring alignment with GE Aerospace’s priorities of Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC). This role involves managing cross‑functional teams, driving program execution, and delivering results that meet customer and organizational expectations.
& Responsibilities
- Lead and manage aerospace programs from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to SQDC principles.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and cross‑functional teams.
- Develop detailed program plans, including schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate risks to ensure program success.
- Track program progress, report on key metrics, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Apply lean principles to optimize program processes and outcomes.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or a related field from an accredited college or university (or High School Diploma/GED with a minimum of 9 years of related experience).
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in program management, operations, or contracts management.
- U.S. citizenship status (or lawful permanent resident, asylum, refugee status).
- Minimum 10% travel based on business needs.
- Ability to sit onsite at the Vandalia, OH facility.
- No remote option for this role.
- Advanced degree in engineering, business, or a related field from an accredited college or university.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in program management within the Aerospace/Aviation industry.
- Familiarity with GE Aerospace’s FLIGHT DECK operating model.
- Experience with Kaizen, Hoshin Kanri, and Standard Work principles.
- PMP or similar project management certification.
- Strong knowledge of lean methodologies and project management tools.
- Proven ability to lead cross‑functional teams and manage complex projects.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
