Duration: Contract
Pay Rate: $60.00 per hour
Schedule: 40 hours per week

Position OverviewWe are partnering with a leading aerospace and defense organization to hire an experienced Structural Engineer III. In this role, you will contribute to the design, analysis, evaluation, and certification of advanced aerospace systems and products ranging from mission‑critical payloads and electronic systems to highly integrated aircraft and space exploration platforms.
This position offers the opportunity to work on cutting‑edge aerospace technologies while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop innovative structural solutions utilizing both metallic and composite materials.
Primary Responsibilities- Perform structural design, analysis, evaluation, and certification activities for aerospace systems and components.
- Analyze complex metallic and composite structures to ensure compliance with engineering requirements and regulatory standards.
- Conduct static strength analyses using industry‑standard engineering methodologies.
- Develop and perform classical hand calculations to validate structural integrity.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional engineering teams throughout the design and development lifecycle.
- Support product development efforts through structural assessments, trade studies, and engineering recommendations.
- Generate technical documentation, engineering analyses, and substantiation reports.
- Participate in design reviews and provide technical guidance on structural engineering matters.
- 6+ years of relevant structural engineering experience.
- Bachelor’s degree:
Mechanical, Aerospace, or Civil Engineering preferred. - Strong knowledge of Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) tools.
- Experience performing static strength analysis.
- Proficiency with classical structural analysis and industry‑standard hand calculation methods.
- Solid understanding of engineering principles, structural mechanics, and design practices.
- Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary engineering and development teams.
- Aerospace and Defense industry experience.
- Liaison Engineering experience.
- Aircraft modification and sustainment experience.
- Experience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) tools such as:
- MSC Patran
- Nastran
- FEMAP
- ANSYS
- Experience performing fatigue and damage tolerance analysis.
- Knowledge of mechanical design principles.
