Cut, Sew, Wrap Tooling & Equipment Mechanical Engineer

Write SORs and work with purchasing to procure CSW equipment and tooling. Provide labor/FTTO input for program pursuit quote packages for programs with cut/sew/wrap parts. Manage tool builds and deliveries from suppliers at or below budget and on time. Ensure procured tools are built to Inteva specifications. Coordinate delivery and installation from the cut/sew/wrap lab to the manufacturing facilities. Effectively interact with Inteva team members and customers on a regular basis.

Provide cut/sew/wrap build concept for new business pursuits. Provide design guidance for product and tooling development. Business travel mandatory to support North American sites: 50%+ launch travel, 20% non-launch travel.

Required:

Effective problem-solving skills. Competent ability with computer software programs such as MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project. Strong organizational, oral and written communication, and documentation skills. Excellent project management skills. Strong mechanical skills and desire for hands-on activities. Good comprehension of electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.

Good sketching and drawing abilities. Ability to read 2D and 3D designs. Preferred:
Familiar with instrument panel, consoles, interior parts in general, design, process and manufacturing. Basic understanding of Allen Bradley PLC programming. Comprehension of basic GD&T. Experience working with cut/sew/wrap equipment such as sewing machines, bladder machines, press lamination machines and hand tools like heat guns and staple guns.

Education requirement:
Bachelor's degree (Industrial or Mechanical Engineering preferred) or equivalent experience.
