GeneralJob Duties For All Store Team Members
- Operate all equipment.
- Stock ingredients from delivery area to storage, work area, and walk‑in cooler.
- Prepare product.
- Receive and process telephone orders.
- Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
- Clean equipment and facility approximately daily.
Orientation and training are provided on the job.
Communication Skills- Comprehend and give correct written instructions.
- Communicate verbally with customers and co‑workers, both over the phone and in person, to process orders.
- Accurate and quick mental math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) with optional calculator use.
- Make correct monetary change.
- Verbal, written, and telephone skills for order processing.
- Motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers to perform rapid, accurate movements.
- Enter orders using keyboard or touch screen.
- Varying and sometimes adverse weather when removing trash and performing outside tasks.
- In‑store temperatures ranging from 36°F to 90°F or higher.
- Sudden changes in temperature while inside or outside.
- Fumes from food odors.
- Exposure to cornmeal dust.
- Cramped quarters, including walk‑in cooler.
- Hot surfaces/tools from oven up to 500°F or higher.
- Sharp edges and moving mechanical parts.
- Listening on the telephone. Near and mid‑range vision required for most tasks.
- Depth perception.
- Differentiate between hot and cold surfaces.
The ability to direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work alone and with others, work under stress, meet strict quality control standards, deal with people, analyze and compile data, make judgments and decisions.
Physical Requirements StandingMost tasks are performed from a standing position on ceramic tile or linoleum. Work surfaces range between 36" and 48" in height.
WalkingShort distances for short durations.
SittingPaperwork is normally completed in an office at a desk or table.
Lifting- Bulk product deliveries (up to 50 lbs, dimensions up to 3' x 1.5') unloaded by hand truck.
- Cases are lifted from floor and stacked onto shelves up to 72" high.
- Large cans (approx. 3 lbs).
- Pizza sauce (approx. 30 lbs).
- Trays of pizza dough (approx. 12 lbs per tray, three at a time).
- Move trays on dollies. A stack of trays on a dolly (24"–30") requires up to 7.5 lbs of force to push.
- Trays may also be pulled.
Occasional navigation of stairs or ladders for maintenance tasks.
Stooping/Bending- Forward bending at the waist at the pizza assembly station, typically 30–45 seconds per instance continually throughout the day.
- Forward bending also occurs at the front counter and when stocking ingredients.
Performed occasionally for stocking shelves and cleaning low areas.
Reaching- Continuous reaching in all directions.
- Above‑72" reaches when operating oven controls or changing prices on a sign.
- Downward reaches for scooping cornmeal or washing dishes.
- Forward reaches for obtaining toppings, cleaning work surfaces, or answering phones.
- Eye‑hand coordination is essential, with continuous use of hands.
- Frequent use of forearms and wrists for shaping pizza dough.
- Manipulate pizza peel and rolling cutter during baking/assembly.
- Forceful pinching required for assembling cardboard pizza boxes.
- Grasp ability for cans, phones, pizza cutters, pizza peels, and boxes.
Utilize pencils/pens, computers, telephones, calculators, TDD equipment, pizza cutters, and pizza peel.
