Plant Controller – Contract Basis

Vandalia, Ohio

Join a global chemical leader as a strategic Plant Controller, responsible for high‑impact Cap Ex projects and overall financial stewardship of the plant. The role offers a 45‑hour week with no weekend work and a focus on continuous improvement.

• Oversee month‑end and year‑end closing processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Deliver insightful financial analysis and reporting to guide strategic decision‑making.
• Lead site‑level budgeting and forecasting, aligning with organizational goals.
• Identify financial risks and implement mitigation strategies; serve as Site Compliance Officer.
• Manage site expenditures, including Cap Ex, credit, and operational costs, keeping spend within approved limits.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline financial workflows.
• Maintain strong partnerships with external vendors, banks, and global business units.
• Facilitate and support internal and external audits.
• Provide mentorship and coaching to the finance team.

• Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 2‑3 years of experience in a Plant Controller role within manufacturing.
• Strong budgeting, forecasting, month‑end, year‑end closing, and cost accounting skills.
• Experience partnering with operations on accounting projects.
• Supervision experience.
• Experience working with ERP systems.
• Willingness to work long‑term on a contract basis.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel.

• SAP

• Certifications (e.g., CPA, CMA)
• MBA
