Position Summary

7AM-3PM First Shift

Maintenance Team Lead will be responsible for leading a maintenance team. The Team Lead will make sure all of the following items are completed in a professional and timely manner. Lead the maintenance team in troubleshooting, repair, and improvement of processes related to the mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, robotic, and pneumatic equipment. In addition to preventive and predictive equipment maintenance. They must have the ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision, with the flexibility and willingness to work various shifts as and when needed.

Lead, support and improve all aspects of Key Metrics:
Safety, Quality, Productivity, Delivery, & Continuous improvement.

Responsibilities
  • Perform highly repetitive and prescribed duties involving a variety of routine clerical duties. Work from established procedures and/or verbal instructions. Assist, direct and instruct skilled trades in their duties to alter and/or repair a variety of tools and equipment. Responsible for supervision of the instruction, training, and progress of apprentices in their respective department.
  • Job includes the issuing of work orders; solicit overtime and accurate timekeeping records. Receive direction from supervisors with work schedule specifications, planned set‑ups and operation sequences, & establish operating procedures, relative to work assignments. Complete time and production reporting as required or requested.
  • Move material as required. Collaborate with technical personnel for installations, repairs, adjustments, and process improvements. Maintain maintenance work areas, and tools according to Visual Management and 5S Standards.
  • Work from established procedures including Safety, Environmental, Quality, Standard Work, and monitor to ensure employees follow prescribed safety procedures and work in a safe manner and environment. Be a role model to encourage good attendance and good work habits. Have a working knowledge of all maintenance department operations.
  • Facilitate a continuous improvement culture by instilling lean processes and root cause corrective action to eliminate waste.
  • Create a work environment conducive to employee morale, motivation, and teamwork to accomplish performance objectives. Communicate goal progress and roadblocks to Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Support implementation of Continuous Improvement (CI) and Escalation processes to maximize impact on the Key Metrics. Execute and improve machine preventative maintenance.
  • Other duties as assigned due to business needs.
What we are looking for
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent education experience
  • Technical Certification or 2-4 years related maintenance experience (prefer manufacturing environment) and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Leadership experience preferred. High technical and mechanical aptitude.
  • Lead with integrity; manages by fact, achieves results, builds teams. Bias for action, decisive, and self‑direction.
  • Commitment to achieve key performance metrics and drive for continuous improvement.
  • Analytical problem‑solving ability, process oriented. High level communication skills both written and verbal.
