Role Overview
Be proficient and perform CMO operations in assigned cell. Use pneumatic tools, hand tools and calibrated gauges to perform work. Operate machine(s) in a prescribed safe manner. Perform daily preventative maintenance and verify calibration. Maintain eQuals requirements and use shop measuring devices such as calipers and micrometers. Maintain basic housekeeping of the cell (5S). Review, understand and follow work instructions, required specifications and blueprints to perform manufacturing operations.
Ensure all company paperwork is filled out accurately. Fully understand blueprints, identify revision levels, and produce error‑free products. Meet production goals, cross‑train, work under general direction with minimal coaching in a team environment, and adhere to Lean Manufacturing guidelines and safety requirements. Keep team informed of work progress, timelines, and issues, and perform other duties as assigned.
- Operate machines and pneumatic tools safely and efficiently.
- Perform daily preventative maintenance and equipment calibration.
- Use calipers and micrometers for shop measurements.
- Maintain 5S housekeeping standards in the cell.
- Follow work instructions, specifications, and blueprints.
- Complete all required paperwork accurately.
- Identify revision levels and ensure product quality.
- Meet production goals and cross‑train as needed.
- Communicate progress, timelines, and issues to the team.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least six months of manufacturing experience or equivalent education/experience.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints and process instructions.
- Basic understanding of processes within their home cell.
- Capacity to stand 6–8 hours per day and perform manual handling tasks.
- Willingness to pass certification standards tests and eye examinations.
- Willingness to undergo on‑the‑job training to obtain CVP certification within six months.
- Willingness to participate in a drug‑free workplace program.
- Must be at least 18 years old upon joining.
- Experience with assembly/disassembly and machine operation.
- Experience with manual or automated welding processes.
- Experience using calipers, micrometers, and other gauges for inspection.
- Knowledge of programmable controller operations and programming.
- PC proficiency in email, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet Explorer, and Word.
- Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and a cellular work environment.
- Ability to read and understand routers and process instructions.
- Experience with tube bending and knowledge of swage or shrink processes.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent customer service to co‑workers, customers, and vendors.
- Team orientation, collaborative respect, and ability to embrace ambiguity.
- Proactive participation and support of a team environment.
- Preferred:
Prior experience in circuit board packaging (CVP) in Hydro or Bore Scope. - Preferred:
Prior experience in software system development and tools configuration. - Preferred:
Prior experience performing machine inspection and maintenance. - Preferred:
Experience with remote instrumentation and analytics.
Wages: $22.50 per hour. Overtime may be required on an as‑needed basis. The employee must be able to stand for 6–8 hours a day, walk, sit, or stoop regularly, and lift up to 15 pounds frequently and up to 30 pounds occasionally. Items heavier than 30 pounds will be lifted with assistance.
