Trailer Tech

Central Transport is one of the nation’s largest Less-Than-Truckload carriers, expanding its network across the United States and Canada. We maintain a fleet of over 2,200 tractors, 8,500 trailers, and 1,700 forklifts. We are seeking skilled mechanics to help keep this equipment operating safely and efficiently.

• Perform all levels of preventive maintenance services
• Repair trailers and related equipment in a timely and efficient manner
• Inspect brake systems, steering mechanisms, wheel bearings and other important parts to ensure proper working condition
• Perform routine maintenance such as changing oil, checking batteries and lubricating equipment and machinery
• Repair damage to containers, trailers, and chassis, including tearing on sides of containers, replacing lights, tire repair, landing gear repair, and frame repair

• 1 year of experience in mechanical maintenance
• Basic set of tools
• ASE certification preferred but not required
