Avionics Technician Level 1

We are currently seeking candidates for the position of Avionics Technician Level 1, at our Dayton, Ohio location. This position will report to the Avionics Department Lead/ Avionics Manager.

Requirements
Qualifications
- Must be an FAA certified Aircraft A&P Mechanic (FAA Certificate Required) or working toward gaining an FAA repairmen certificate. Prior military experience with an MOS rating an airframe, or powerplant, or both licenses due to military training and experience per FAA AC 65-30B maintenance technician and military occupational specialty codes may be substituted with corporate aviation experience.
- Entry level with up to 36 months of corporate aviation experience.
- Must be able to pass a 10-year background check and be assigned to a FAA mandated drug screening program.
- Must be an A&P or working to gain a repairmen certificate using documented OJT training.
- Wire harness fabrication and basic troubleshooting experience preferred.
- Must be willing to participate in ongoing training and increase technical capabilities.
- Must be team oriented, self-driven and safety conscious demonstrating a positive behavior and attitude.
- Must be goal-oriented and driven to meet and/or exceed quality maintenance actions and expectations.
- Must have problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language fluently to meet FAA regulations.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering documentation.
- Ability to use standard aircraft mechanics tools, equipment, and materials in the aircraft maintenance process.
- Able to climb ladders and stairs and must be able to work at heights to include from a 20' ladder or aerial lift.
- Perform close tolerance work, work in small spaces, lift objects up to 40 pounds.
- Must be computer literate. Knowledge of Corridor Maintenance Program, MS Office programs, especially Outlook, is a plus.
