Role SummaryReporting to the Distribution Center Supervisor, the Distribution Center Associate is responsible for receiving, storing, and distributing products to maintain overall efficiency and operation of the Distribution Center. The main responsibility is ensuring all stock is accounted for, processed, and organized to meet company standards.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Perform defined Distribution Center activities: receipt, placement into inventory, selection for shipment, and shipment of stock
- Pick orders accurately and promptly
- Pack orders
- Receive inventory accurately and promptly
- Restock inventory in designated storage areas
- Truck loading and unloading according to established procedures
- Operate forklift, hand trucks or other equipment
- Accurately identify and count inventory in assigned areas
- Maintain quality and quantity performance and production standards
- Participate in ongoing general housekeeping of Distribution Center
- Check assigned equipment for proper operation/functionality and report problems to supervision
- Follow safe work habits and established safety procedures
- Participate in safety initiatives as assigned
- Attend meetings and training sessions
- Complete other Distribution Center tasks as assigned

What you’ll need:
- Work Experience:
Entry level - Analytics/Computer
Skills:
Ability to use standard office equipment, computerized barcode scanner, printer, and standard warehouse equipment/tools; basic math and reasoning skills - Organization
Skills:
Excellent work ethic, good verbal and communication skills; ability to work independently - Cross‑functional skills:
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and through the direction of a direct supervisor or Distribution Center Lead - Communication
Skills:
Ability to communicate well with all levels of the organization; know when to request assistance when appropriate, especially when lifting heavy objects - Physical, Mental and Visual
Skills:
Ability to see, talk and hear; lift, move and carry up to 50 lbs; sit, stand, walk, lift, pull, and push during entire shift; climb stair/step ladders up to 16 steps; bend, stoop, crouch and kneel; be on feet for 8 hrs a day
- Previous experience picking orders with an RF scanner (preferred)
- Ability to operate warehouse equipment including forklifts, hand trucks, crane, etc.
The employee is exposed to temperature conditions prevalent at the time; noise level is consistent with a distribution center.
