TSD supports customers with an experienced parts staff and four large parts warehouses to provide trailer parts quickly and efficiently.
As an authorized parts distributor for brands such as Wabash, Stoughton, Vanguard, Hyundai, Strick, and Fontaine, TSD is a trusted partner for comprehensive trailer solutions. The company also operates a full-service repair department capable of handling everything from minor fixes to complete trailer rebuilds.
The Experienced Parts Counter Person is a full-time, on-site role based in Vandalia, OH. This role is responsible for assisting customers and internal staff with identifying, sourcing, and supplying trailer parts, both in person and over the phone. Day-to-day tasks include researching parts in catalogs and systems, preparing quotes, processing orders, handling returns, and maintaining accurate inventory records. The Parts Counter Person will collaborate closely with the service department and warehouse teams to ensure timely fulfillment of parts requests and a high level of customer satisfaction.
Additional responsibilities include keeping the parts area organized, updating product knowledge regularly, and following company policies and safety procedures.
- Strong knowledge of trailer parts, components, and related equipment, with prior experience at a parts counter or in a similar role.
- Customer service and communication skills, including the ability to assist customers in person and by phone in a professional, friendly, and solutions-focused manner.
- Basic computer and inventory management skills, including use of parts lookup systems, order entry software, and catalog research tools.
- Organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple requests, and maintain accurate records.
- Ability to work on-site in Vandalia, OH, stand for extended periods, and occasionally lift or move parts and materials as required.
- Previous experience in transportation, trailer, truck, or automotive parts environments is highly beneficial.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certifications in parts, mechanics, or logistics are a plus.
- Reliability, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and teamwork.
