As part of our Indigi Know model, the Residential Treatment Nurse collaborates with the residential team at TTC, SIHB's service providers, including our Traditional Indian Medicine team, to ensure our relatives have appropriate access to health care services. They are the point of contact for relatives in the facility for medical intake, medications, laboratory services, health education, and to access health care services.

The residential treatment nurse is employed by SIHB with services contracted to Thunderbird Treatment Center. This position reports to the SIHB Medical Director.

- Perform medical intake for residents entering the facility to include review of the most recent provider visit, medications, allergies, and any orders or accommodations needed.
- Oversee the medication observation program and the CLIA waived laboratory, including training, compliance, and oversight. Perform phlebotomy as needed.
- Assess relatives' health care needs and connect them to the appropriate level of care.
- Consult with internal and external providers, case managers, family, and other supports as needed. Ensure the release of information disclosure consent is collected as required.
- Provide health education to relatives as needed to meet their health care goals.
- Promote and model healthy behaviors, goal setting, and self-care.
- Ensure relatives have appropriate access to medical care. Refer to facilities that can provide the appropriate level of care, e.g., medical clinic, treatment, case management, dental, emergency room.
