We are currently seeking an Accountant to add to our team in Vaughan, ON. This is a hybrid role reporting to our head‑office two days a week. Reporting directly to the Manager, Accounting, you will bring strong accounting and analysis experience to this team and will be a critical part of our month‑end/year‑end closing activities. You will partner closely with other departments and service organisations to contribute to the success of the company.

Your Contributions to the Organization
  • Prepare and review monthly internal financial reports (e.g. SGA, legal P&L, forecasts, etc.).
  • Maintain and reconcile the fixed asset register, including additions, disposals, and transfers.
  • Support capital expenditure (Cap Ex) approvals and pull fixed asset reports from SAP.
  • Prepare/post monthly journal entries and perform month‑end close activities.
  • Prepare, review, and reconcile a number of balance sheet accounts, identifying risk and potential write‑offs or release to the P&L.
  • Daily Treasury functions including setting up wires, cash reporting and forecasting.
  • Complete monthly and quarterly reporting packages for US head office (e.g. SEC reporting).
  • Support the annual budget and forecasting process in the stated areas of responsibility.
  • Internal and external audit support.
  • Implement external audit recommendations.
  • Assist in special projects/ad hoc requests from business as needed.
  • Backup for Tax Consultant in matters related to commodity & realty taxes, insurance, and Statistics Canada filings.
  • Problem solving and issue escalation as needed.
  • All other duties as required.
Requirements for the Role
  • 1 – 3 years of related work experience preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred.
  • Pursuing CPA (CA, CGA, CMA) designation.
  • Knowledge of SAP and Blackline is an asset.
  • Strong accounting, analytical and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to clearly identify issues and bring them to resolution.
  • Self‑starter with a process improvement mindset in the work performed.
  • Experience in Medical Segment, distribution organisation and/or large multinational organisation is an asset.
  • Expert Excel skills with ability to work through significant volumes of data.
  • Clear and concise communication skills with the ability to partner successfully with third‑party organisations, finance, and other departments.

Compensation

Anticipated pay range: $57,300 - $84,040

Bonus: Yes

This role is eligible for a performance‑based annual bonus. Bonus awards are not guaranteed and are determined based on individual performance, company performance, and other business factors, in accordance with the company’s bonus plan.
