Financial Consultant, FP&A
About Our Client
Our client is sourcing a Financial Consultant, FP&A, for a 6‑month contract.
Responsibilities- Monitor business performance trends and provide analysis to support operational and strategic decisions.
- Review performance metrics and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate with various departments to evaluate results and provide financial insights.
- Analyze reports and data to identify variances, trends, and areas requiring attention.
- Prepare management reporting packages and presentations for leadership teams.
- Conduct comparisons against plans, historical results, and expectations to explain performance.
- Support the management and oversight of internal business programs and initiatives.
- Participate in planning cycles, including annual plans and periodic updates.
- Develop and improve reporting processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Assist with process documentation, controls, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Prepare ad hoc analysis, reports, and presentations as required.
- Support the development and maintenance of reporting tools and dashboards.
- Provide insights regarding business performance, growth opportunities, and operational effectiveness.
- Assist with periodic business reviews and leadership presentations.
- Track key performance indicators and evaluate the effectiveness of business investments.
- Support various departments in understanding performance drivers and outcomes.
- Contribute to the development of enhanced reporting capabilities and decision‑support tools.
- Assist with financial policy interpretation and special projects as needed.
- Provide support across the finance function when required.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
- Experience with financial planning, reporting, and business analysis.
- Advanced spreadsheet and reporting skills.
- Ability to communicate complex information clearly to diverse audiences.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Experience working collaboratively in a fast‑paced setting.
- Knowledge of reporting and data visualization tools is considered an asset.
The role may be eligible for discretionary bonuses. Medical, dental, and vision benefits are available, and a 401(k) retirement plan is offered.
