Senior Manager, Operational Risk Reporting and Methodologies; Maternity Leave
What is the opportunity?
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager to lead our Operational Risk Reporting and Methodology team within Personal Banking and Commercial Banking segment operational risk management team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in enhancing our operational risk management framework, ensuring robust reporting mechanisms, and acting as a subject matter expert supporting the Directors Operational Risk and our lines of business partners.
Whatwill you do?
- Oversee the development and implementation of comprehensive operational risk reporting processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with Enterprise policies and standards.
- Oversee the preparation of monthly and quarterly operational risk reporting for both the personal banking and commercial banking segments.
- Lead the design and enhancement of risk assessment methodologies, including key risk indicator (KRI) development, RCSA’s and change risk assessments.
- Utilize advanced analytics techniques to identify emerging risks, trends, and potential vulnerabilities within our segments.
- Engage with senior management, Directors’ Operational Risk, and other first line risk domains to communicate risk insights, provide recommendations, and support decision‑making processes.
- Continuously evaluate and improve risk management processes, ensuring they remain effective and aligned with industry best practices.
- Manage and mentor a team of risk professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous development.
- Support and respond to Operational risk related requests during internal audit and regulatory exams.
- Manage the external event review process with Operational Risk directors.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in operational risk management, with a proven record in risk reporting and methodology development.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams, manage complex projects, and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex risk concepts to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
- Experience with Archer, SharePoint, and collaboration tools (e.g., JIRA and Confluence) with expertise in MS Office (Excel and PowerPoint).
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Risk Management, Business, or a related field. Advanced degree or professional certifications (e.g., FRM, PRM, CRISC).
