Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Legal Assistant
, located in Vaughan, Ontario. The Legal Assistant will provide administrative and practice support to the legal team, including assisting with the preparation of legal documents and correspondence. Responsibilities include maintaining and organizing electronic and physical files, coordinating deadlines and diarizing key dates, managing incoming and outgoing communications, and supporting litigation and other legal processes. The Legal Assistant will also assist with drafting routine correspondence and formatting legal materials to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with timelines.

Qualifications
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of legal processes, court procedures, and filing requirements
  • Experience assisting with the preparation, formatting, and coordination of legal documents and correspondence (including routine drafting support)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to conduct accurate research and gather supporting documentation as required

    Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain accurate records
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel) and legal software/tools; familiarity with legal research platforms is an asset
  • Diploma or certificate in a Legal Assistant, Law Clerk, or related program (or equivalent experience)
  • Previous experience in a legal environment is considered an asset
