Base pay range: CA $90,000.00/yr – CA$/yr

Role OverviewThe Manager of Social Programs & Development is a senior leadership position responsible for advancing the mission through the management of social programs, community engagement, and fundraising. This role provides strategic vision and hands‑on leadership to deliver meaningful programs, cultivate donor relationships, and build partnerships that expand impact. The ideal candidate is an experienced nonprofit leader with a proven record in Jewish community service, outreach, and development, particularly within Russian‑Speaking communities.
Key Responsibilities- Program Leadership: Lead the design, implementation, and evaluation of social and community programs, including educational, cultural, wellness, and family initiatives.
- Community Engagement: Engage and grow the community, with a focus on Russian‑Speaking Jewish families; develop volunteer networks and represent the organization at community events.
- Fundraising & Development: Oversee fundraising initiatives, including donor cultivation, major gifts, grants, sponsor ships, and events to support program sustainability. Identify grant opportunities and design programs that align with funding criteria. Build long‑term donor relationships and ensure annual fundraising targets are met.
- Partnerships (External): Build and maintain relationships with community organizations, schools, synagogues, nonprofits, and other stakeholders to strengthen program reach and community impact.
- Collaboration (Internal): Coordinate and collaborate with branch managers and internal teams to ensure alignment across all locations, enhance program integration, and foster strong internal relationships.
- Team Leadership: Supervise program staff and volunteers, mentor team members, and promote a collaborative and respectful work environment.
- Strategic Planning & Budgeting: Contribute to organizational strategic planning, develop program budgets, track outcomes, and adjust initiatives based on community needs.
- Communications & Outreach: Develop communications and outreach materials to promote programs and highlight impact to the community and donors.
- 7+ years of progressive nonprofit leadership experience.
- Proven success in program management, community outreach, and fundraising.
- Fluency in Russian (speaking and reading) – strong asset.
- Knowledge of available community resources and programs in Ontario – required.
- Strong leadership, communication, and relationship‑building skills.
- Ability to coordinate and collaborate across multiple teams and locations.
- Proficient with standard office software (Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace) and comfortable using databases, CRM systems, and online collaboration tools.
- Strategic planning and analytical skills to evaluate community needs and program effectiveness.
- Financial acumen, including budgeting, financial reporting, and managing program funding.
- Grant writing and fundraising expertise, including donor relations and cultivating major gifts.
- Project management skills to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Problem‑solving and decision‑making skills with initiative and adaptability.
