The Role

As a Management Trainee, you will progress through a 4‑phased program to learn every aspect of how our business operates – from shipping and receiving, counter sales, operations management to employee development and more. You will grow your own sales territory and provide world‑class customer service with guidance, mentoring, and support from current managers and teammates across Canada.

Program Outline
  • Phase 1:
    Warehouse and Customer Service (12 months)
    – Build product knowledge and gain hands‑on experience with the logistical side of the business. Learn how our products get from vendor to customer, and get involved in customer service, counter sales, order management, inventory and pricing controls, credit management, financial statements, and more.
  • Phase 2:
    Customer Relationships and Procurement (12 months)
    – Move from helping customers with service issues to managing large‑scale projects and problem solving. Build relationships with customers and vendors, provide world‑class service, and learn to read blueprint drawings to create material quotes.
  • Phase 3:
    Account Management and Proactive Sales (15–18 months)
    – Focus on business Learn to find new opportunities, sell our products, negotiate contracts, expand the customer base, and create level‑5 customer partnerships.
  • Phase 4:
    Leadership and Operations (3 months)
    – Provide strategic vision, lead a team, mentor others, and run the business. Develop leadership competencies, coach the team, and set vision and strategy.
Compensation & Relocation

Base Salary: $52,500 + Profit Sharing. Relocation assistance is provided for training across Canada.

Qualifications
  • University degree or college diploma – all disciplines of study will be considered.
  • Positive attitude and results‑oriented mindset.
  • Desire to continuously learn and grow.
  • Excellent leadership, customer service, and organizational skills.
  • Strong work ethic and high standards of integrity.
  • Ability to work well independently and in a team setting.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with customers, vendors, and teammates.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software.
  • Strong interest in sales.
  • Valid driver’s license.
