Job Summary

Our client, an established national CPG distribution organization, is seeking an Outside Sales Representative to drive revenue growth and expand customer relationships within a defined territory. This role is focused on selling branded consumer packaged goods into existing and new B2B customers through a consultative, relationship-driven sales approach. The Outside Sales Representative will own account growth, new business development, and commercial execution while partnering internally to ensure strong service and fulfillment.

This is a performance-oriented role suited for a motivated professional who thrives in a fast-paced sales environment.

The Role

  • Manage and grow a portfolio of existing customer accounts while actively developing new business opportunities
  • Sell CPG product programs through pricing, assortment, and volume discussions (no merchandising responsibilities)
  • Conduct regular in-person customer meetings to build long-term partnerships and identify growth opportunities
  • Prepare and present sales proposals, pricing agreements, and program recommendations
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth order execution and customer satisfaction
  • Track sales activity, pipeline, and forecasts using internal systems
  • Monitor customer trends, competitive activity, and market dynamics to inform sales strategy
  • Consistently meet or exceed established sales targets

The Ideal Candidate

  • 1+ years of experience in B2B outside sales or account management, preferably with CPG, or retail goods.
  • Proven ability to generate new business and grow existing accounts
  • Strong negotiation, relationship-building, and closing skills
  • Comfortable managing a territory independently in a results-driven environment
  • Clear, professional communication skills with customers and internal teams
