The Outside Sales Representative – Wire and Cable will be responsible for maintaining existing business and acquiring new accounts. This role involves driving profitable daily sales of company products to assigned accounts, identifying additional opportunities to maximize sales potential, and developing new business through a relationship-based approach. The representative will promote, sell, and secure orders from prospective customers, demonstrate products and services, and assist clients in selecting solutions best suited to their needs.
This role will have a strong focus on growth within the industrial contractor and industrial end-user segments.
Major Responsibilities
Perform regular and scheduled calls on assigned accountsProvide timely assistance and product support to customersPromote Robertson Electric by distributing product line cards and company literatureStay current on market trends and new products to effectively promote Robertson’s suppliersMonitor account performance using provided toolsCoordinate, lead, and attend scheduled sales meetingsParticipate in manufacturer training sessions, which may occasionally occur after business hoursCollaborate with the sales team to ensure accurate quoting and tracking of projectsWork with management to set monthly targets for your territoryFollow and achieve the approved sales and action planPartner with the credit department to support account receivables and adhere to company credit policiesPerform special projects as assignedSkills and Qualifications
2–3 years of experience in the electrical industry1–3 years of working knowledge of electrical products, with a proven track record in outside sales—specifically focused on Wire and CableMinimum of 5 years of overall sales experienceResults-oriented, with the ability to work independently and collaborativelyBenefits & Perks
