Job Description
The Analytical Instrumentation Specialist will support the department by coordinating research activities related to the development of new analytical methods. This role is responsible for conducting method validations, performing method transfers, and ensuring all activities align with departmental goals.
What you’ll do
Method development, validation, transfer, assay, and impurity analysis utilizing a range of analytical techniques including HPLC, LC-MS/MS and/or GC-Headspace, GC-MS/MS with a particular focus on low‑level quantification of PFAs, PCBs, nitrosamine impurities, and related analytesOperate, troubleshoot, and maintain analytical instrumentation, including HPLC, LC-MS/MS and/or GC-Headspace, GC-MS/MSExperience with Triple Quadrupoles, TOF, QTOF, and/or HRAM (High Resolution Accurate Mass)This role requires adherence to established procedures and policies and applicable regulatory guidelines, ISO
9001 and ISO
17025, project timelines, collaborating cross-functionally with Production and QA teams to ensure timely project executionReview technical data, documents, and proposals as required. Assist SOP training for new personnel and on SOP revisionsTroubleshoot technical issues/ difficulties regarding experimental methods and results;
Carry out and support OOS/OOT investigationsProvide ongoing technical training and develop staff to enable them to perform technical tasksQualifications
Education:
in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a closely related field.Minimum 2 years hands‑on experience with GC‑MS/MS and/or LC‑MS/MS operation is a must haveDemonstrated experience with method development, validation, and transfer.Instrumentation:
Proficient with Waters Xevo TQ-Sµ, Agilent 6470 LCQQQ, Agilent 7010 GCQQQ, and/or Agilent G6230 LCTOF or equivalent instrumentation.Software:
Proficiency with instrument control and data analysis software such as Mass Lynx and Mass Hunter Qualitative and Quantitative Analysis; strong experience with Windows OS and Microsoft Office.Competencies Required

Working in a laboratory in a chemical manufacturing facility.Ability to stand on feet for up to 8 hours while working.Additional Information
Pay range for this role is
:
Minimum: CAD $55,000/ yearly
Maximum: CAD $60,000/ yearly
The salary range provided covers the minimum and maximum amounts projected for this role. The base salary will be influenced by factors like experience, skills, and location.
