In this temporary contract role at TRCA, you will lead environmental fieldwork focused on fish sampling and water quality assessment. You will ensure compliance with health and safety standards and coach team members in conducting effective monitoring processes. Your experience will shine as you prepare equipment and handle data entry for impactful environmental reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
• Supervise and coordinate staff daily in the field
• Conduct aquatic habitat data collection using standard protocols
• Prepare and maintain equipment for safe use
• Contribute to environmental monitoring reports
• Lead safety meetings and hazard assessments
Requirements:
• Degree or diploma in Biology or a relevant field
• Minimum of 2 years in environmental monitoring
• Skilled in the use of monitoring instruments
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather
• Familiarity with safety regulations in field settings
