Position:Crew Carpenter for Decks and Fences
Location:
Richmond Hill, ON (site locations primarily in Richmond Hill and the GTA). A company truck will be provided.
- Frame and finish both wood and composite decks according to custom and standard designs; read and interpret permit plans and drawings.
- Assist a small team of 1–3 carpenters/labourers with deck installation.
- Use knowledge of building materials, construction methods, and tools & equipment to complete deck builds efficiently and safely.
- Follow industry safety practices and maintain clean job sites.
- Pay attention to detail and complete tasks on time.
- Future duties may change or be added as business needs change.
- Dig post holes and footings when necessary. Machinery may be used.
- Experience with framing and carpentry; deck/fence building experience is an asset.
- Skilled carpenter with understanding and knowledge of tools & equipment for deck/fence construction.
- Previous experience with Trex is an asset.
- First Aid skills and/or certificates are considered assets.
- WHMIS, Working at Heights, and other typical safety certifications are considered assets.
- Vehicle and a valid G driver’s license.
- Steel‑toed work boots.
Job Type: Full‑time
Pay: $23.00–$25.00 per hour, depending on skills and experience.
Hours: Five‑day work week with 5–10 hour shifts.
Working Conditions: Stand, sit, and lift for long periods; lift up to 50 lb daily; outdoor work with various weather conditions, heights, and ladders; requires strength and endurance.
