Position: Grid Response Powerline Technician Role
Take on a challenging role as a Powerline Technician with the Grid Response Team at Valard Construction for Toronto Hydro. Your primary focus will be on electrical reliability and system safety amidst outages.
As a Journeyperson Powerline Technician, you'll report to the Senior Foreperson and engage in restoring power efficiently and safely. This position blends independent work with collaboration in a response crew, requiring shift work and dedication to minimizing service disruptions. You’ll ensure compliance with safety regulations while performing key maintenance and inspections.

Key Responsibilities:

• React to electrical outages and emergencies promptly

• Conduct maintenance and repairs on distribution networks

• Implement safe switching and isolation procedures

• Inspect line equipment and conduct necessary tests

• Keep accurate records of maintenance activities
Requirements:

• Journeyperson Powerline Technician certification

• 5 years of experience in electrical distribution

• Class 4 Rubber Glove experience

• Class DZ Drivers license

• Up-to-date working at Heights Certification
