Seeking a skilled Stonemason to work in construction and repair, focusing on historical restoration. Join a team that values accuracy and efficiency in brick and stone masonry.
We are looking for a talented Stonemason with a minimum of three years of experience in commercial, industrial, and residential settings. In this permanent position, you will prepare and lay mortar units, construct masonry veneers, and teach apprentices. Your work will involve physical demands, including standing for long periods and handling heavy loads.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare and lay bricks, concrete blocks, and masonry units
• Construct and install prefabricated masonry elements
• Work at heights on scaffolding and swing stages
• Instruct apprentices in masonry techniques
• Lay firebricks for chimneys and smokestacks
Requirements:
• 3 to 5 years of relevant stone masonry experience
• Ability to cut and trim masonry units accurately
• Strong reliability and interpersonal skills
• Physical ability to handle demanding tasks
• Commitment to quality workmanship
