About the Company AWIN is a premier network of 23 luxury automobile dealerships and 3 collision centres in the Greater Toronto Area, headquartered in Thornhill, Ontario.
Job Purpose The Apprentice Automotive Technician (Level 2 or Level
3) works on routine maintenance jobs and repairs vehicles under the supervision of a Licensed Technician.
Responsibilities Perform services based on general maintenance and minor repairs.
Complete tasks described in the repair orders efficiently and accurately.
Contact the Shop Foreman and/or Service Consultants for additional work as needed.
Use appropriate tools and test equipment, reporting defective or poorly functioning equipment to management.
Obtain required parts from the Parts Department and return parts as required.
Maintain and develop skill levels in vehicle repair and service.
Remain informed on federal, provincial, and municipal regulations, including hazardous waste removal laws.
Ensure the shop remains clean and tidy.
Perform other tasks as instructed by management, such as shuttle driver duties, car wash duties, valet parking, or assistance to Sales Lot Attendants.
Qualifications Registration with the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities.
Valid Ontario G driver’s license and clear driver’s abstract.
Ontario College of Trades membership.
Ability to drive manual transmission vehicles.
Knowledge and use of power, machine, and hand tools.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team, managing time and workflow.

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to influence, negotiate, and mediate effectively.

Salary: $49,000 – $58,000 annually.
