Position Overview
The Residential Maintenance Technician is responsible for providing timely and high-quality maintenance services across a portfolio of residential buildings. This role involves addressing tenant service requests, performing general repairs, coordinating contractors, and maintaining accurate work order records to ensure all properties meet established standards.
Key Responsibilities- Respond to and complete tenant maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner.
- Perform general maintenance and minor repairs (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, etc.) across multiple residential properties.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve building maintenance issues.
- Schedule, coordinate, and oversee external contractors and service providers.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify maintenance needs and preventative measures.
- Maintain and update the work order system, ensuring accurate tracking and timely completion of tasks.
- Ensure all work performed meets quality standards and complies with safety regulations.
- Communicate effectively with tenants regarding service requests and follow‑ups.
- Report on maintenance activities, issues, and project status to management.
- Assist in maintaining inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies.
- Maintain organized records and daily logs of work completed and work allocated to others.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Previous experience in residential maintenance or a similar role.
- Strong working knowledge of building systems and general repair techniques.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Good problem‑solving and organizational skills.
- Solid communication and customer service abilities.
- Valid driver’s license.
Sorbara offers competitive compensation commensurate with experience. The expected salary range for this position is $60,000 - $75,000.
