Residential Maintenance Technician

Position Overview

The Residential Maintenance Technician is responsible for providing timely and high-quality maintenance services across a portfolio of residential buildings. This role involves addressing tenant service requests, performing general repairs, coordinating contractors, and maintaining accurate work order records to ensure all properties meet established standards.

• Respond to and complete tenant maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner.
• Perform general maintenance and minor repairs (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, etc.) across multiple residential properties.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve building maintenance issues.
• Schedule, coordinate, and oversee external contractors and service providers.
• Conduct regular inspections to identify maintenance needs and preventative measures.
• Maintain and update the work order system, ensuring accurate tracking and timely completion of tasks.
• Ensure all work performed meets quality standards and complies with safety regulations.
• Communicate effectively with tenants regarding service requests and follow‑ups.
• Report on maintenance activities, issues, and project status to management.
• Assist in maintaining inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies.
• Maintain organized records and daily logs of work completed and work allocated to others.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Previous experience in residential maintenance or a similar role.
• Strong working knowledge of building systems and general repair techniques.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
• Good problem‑solving and organizational skills.
• Solid communication and customer service abilities.
• Valid driver’s license.

Sorbara offers competitive compensation commensurate with experience. The expected salary range for this position is $60,000 - $75,000.
