Schedule:

First Shift, Monday – Friday (M–F)

Compensation: $30–$42 per hour (Base pay only; benefits and potential bonuses are not included).

• Perform preventative maintenance on customer forklifts and other material handling equipment.
• Diagnose and repair all forms of customer equipment.
• Complete each repair job in a timely, efficient and professional manner.
• Provide exceptional customer service.
• Work and manage workloads independently.
• Properly complete and submit all required paperwork.
• Maintain company vehicle and on-board parts inventory.
• Incorporate Alta's Guiding Principles into daily activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Maintain consistent, regular, and reliable attendance, including being ready for work at the designated start time.

• Two years of forklift repair experience (highly desired).
• Previous field experience (highly preferable).
• Strong working knowledge of electric and liquid propane units.
• Excellent mechanical aptitude.
• Possess own tools.
• Must have clean driving record and valid driver’s license to drive company vehicle.
• Computer skills:
  Hyster TKC training software and Yale/Hyster contact management system.
• Language skills:
  Intermediate reading, writing routine reports, and speaking to customers or employees.
• Mathematical skills:
  Basic ability to add and subtract.
• Reasoning ability:
  Intermediate ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions and solve problems in standardized situations.

• Regularly stand, walk, use hands, reach with hands; frequently talk/hear; occasionally sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Frequently bend and work from a prone position (lying under equipment) is required.
• Vision:
  No special vision requirements.
• Lift and/or move:
  Regularly lift up to 10 lbs; frequently lift 11–25 lbs; occasionally lift 26–100+ lbs.
• Work Environment:
  Regularly near moving mechanical parts; frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, outdoor weather conditions; occasionally wet or humid conditions, extreme cold and heat, risk of electrical shock, vibration.
